New Insight plugin features Daylight Autonomy

We’re squeezing in one more release this year! There’s a new version of the Insight Revit plugin available today, and we encourage you to get it today.

Solar Access with Insight Revit 2017 plugin

Solar access is a great way to determine if a space is achieving enough daylight throughout the day. Also referred to as daylight access, many countries and regions are now requiring new buildings meet specific solar access standards, such as SEPP 65 in Australia.

Follow the steps below to get started with Solar Access in Revit with the latest Insight plugin.

Hotfix available for Revit 2017.1

Some of you were not seeing your Insight Energy Optimization panel update in the recent Revit 2017.1 update. There’s a hotfix available for that now here.


Simply download, launch the executable, and restart Revit and you should be good to go!
