Autodesk Signs White House Equal Pay Pledge, our Latest Move in Inclusion Efforts

Autodesk
September 16, 2016

Today, we are proud to announce the signing of the White House Equal Pay Pledge. Launched at the first-ever United State of Women Summit in June, the pledge encourages companies from across the country to take action to advance equal pay by conducting an annual company-wide gender pay analysis, reviewing hiring and promotion processes, and implementing broader equity initiatives. For us, the pledge reaffirms our commitment to equal compensation and inclusion across the organization.

We believe that all of our employees deserve equal compensation. Signing this pledge is a commitment to creating and maintaining an inclusive environment where people can contribute fully and achieve personal and professional success.

In addition to conducting our existing annual compensation analysis, we are looking at and evaluating inclusion holistically and comprehensively—how we attract, retain, and develop top talent; how we ensure that the widest range of entrepreneurs and developers have access to our software; and how we expand opportunity globally to underrepresented segments of society.

We are signing the pledge timed with the kick-off event of our five-week mentorship and exchange program with TechWomen, which brings emerging women leaders in STEM from Africa, Central Asia, and the Middle East together with Autodesk employees.

TechWomen is one of several initiatives that we are involved in that focuses on providing resources and opportunities to underrepresented communities within the technology industry. For Autodesk’s 3600 U.S. employees, building an ecosystem of diversity and inclusion at scale has meant partnering with established organizations to support diversity throughout an employee’s career, from early education through advanced professional development. In addition to supporting TechWomen, we are involved with Girls Who Code, Code2040, Black Girls Code, YesWeCode, Students Rising Above, Society of Women Engineers, the Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers, and the National Society of Black Engineers.

We are committed to our mission to help create a better world, and building an inclusive environment at Autodesk and within our larger community will continue to be central to part of our efforts each and every day.
