As far as we’re concerned, the next big date in the additive manufacturing calendar is formext, which is running 15-18 November in Frankfurt.

With lots to see and do, it’s hard to know where to start. Here are our top picks to help you make the most of your time:

• Don’t miss Denise Schindler’s keynote at 10am on Tuesday 15, on the main conference stage. German Paralympian Denise won silver and bronze medals at the 2016 Paralympic Games using a 3D printed prosthetic leg. She will talk about her journey to design and make this prosthetic and how she hopes 3D printing and other technologies can disrupt the industry and open up access to high performance prosthetics to a whole new generation.

• Stop by the TCT introducing stage, booth 3.1-K70, at 11am on Friday 18 November as Alexander Oster, Director of Additive Manufacturing at Autodesk, shares insight on the latest tools and technologies for streamlining additive design and manufacturing workflows.

• Head back to the conference to catch Sebastian Hess, founder and managing director of innovative industrial design startup DQBD. Sebastian will discuss how DQBD is using generative design and additive manufacturing to design and manufacture optimized sport protection products. Sebastian’s talk is happening on the formnext mainstage on Friday, 18 November at 12:00pm.
