We are very excited to share another Have You Tried with you! This month we are sharing tips about Match Properties in AutoCAD.
Being able to copy and paste text and objects is a basic function for many software products we use. But did you know you can copy and paste properties from one object to another in AutoCAD? Properties can include general object properties such as layer, color, linetype, linetype scale, and lineweight. However, they can also be specific to an object type such as dimension style or hatch pattern.
In this new Have You Tried, we’ll cover how to:
- Match properties between objects
- Control which properties to copy
- Match properties across drawings
- Match properties within MText
- Match properties and hatch origin
Learn how to match the properties of other objects with the step-by-step examples in the Have You Tried: Matching Properties topic.
Keep the Feedback Coming
Thanks for all the great feedback submitted so far. Because of the great feedback, we have been able to improve the topics in the AutoCAD Online Help system.
The best way to submit feedback is by using the “Was this helpful?” section located at the bottom of every Help topic. Let us know what you like or don’t like about a topic or provide suggestions for other subjects that you’d like to see covered in greater detail. The more specific your comments, the better.
