The Autodesk Foundation mobilized Autodesk technology, Autodesk expertise, and Autodesk training partner Microdesk in support of the Obsidian Experience, a digitally rendered 3D concept house, highlighting the vision and creativity of Black Artists + Designers Guild (BADG) architects, interior designers, and artists.
Twenty-three BADG Creators and two rising stars launched the digitally rendered concept house, Obsidian Experience. Hear directly from Obsidian Experience designers BOA and Sheryl McLean about their experiences visioning and creating the virtual concept house.
BADG’s team worked with both pro bono consultants from Autodesk and Microdesk to utilize donated Autodesk software through Autodesk’s Technology Impact Program to transform sketches and ideas into a captivating virtual experience. Pro bono consultants offered technical expertise in 3D asset management, workflow, and software, including Revit®, 3ds Max®, Maya®, and BIM 360® Design. See behind the scenes with Microdesk on how technical pro bono expertise brought this vision to life.
