As a Territory Sales Representative at Autodesk for the past five years, I have managed the Design & Manufacturing business across India’s North and East territories. Based in Bangalore, I work closely with a wide range of customers, from established companies to emerging innovators, helping them adopt and maximize the value of Autodesk’s industry-leading solutions.
Before joining Autodesk, I spent several years in sales roles working with other Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs), which provided me with a deep exposure to the broader network of design and engineering tech. It was during that time that I first became familiar with Autodesk’s solutions and tools to address complex design and engineering challenges. That exposure sparked a genuine interest in the company and its unique approach to enabling innovation across industries.
Joining Autodesk was a natural progression, allowing me to bring my customer-centric sales experience to a brand I had long respected from the outside. Today, I have the privilege of contributing directly to Autodesk’s mission by supporting manufacturers and designers in driving digital transformation and improving workflows.
Making an impact for our customers
One of the most rewarding parts of my job is building strong, long-lasting relationships with our customers to help them achieve sustainable business growth. I take great pride in understanding their needs and delivering tailored Autodesk solutions that make their journey more seamless, productive, and impactful. Every client interaction is a chance to bring value, solve real-world challenges, and contribute to their success – and that’s what keeps me excited about what I do every day.
Sales is where I thrive – not just because it requires relentlessness, but because I genuinely enjoy connecting solutions with real people’s needs. For me, it’s much more than just closing deals; it’s about forging lasting relationships and creating positive change. At Autodesk, I get to shape how things are made by working closely with passionate teams and customers every day, sparking new ideas and honoring our accomplishments together.
Fueled by fostering a culture of belonging
Outside of my core role, one of the most fulfilling aspects of my journey at Autodesk has been my involvement with our Employee Belonging Groups (EBGs). I’m proud to serve as the Autodesk Women’s Network (AWN) Lead for Bangalore, India, and I’m also an active member of the Young Professionals Network (YPN). These communities create spaces where we uplift each other, share ideas, and celebrate wins together. They’ve shown me the power of belonging and just how far we can go when we’re surrounded by people who support each other.
Through these networks, I’ve experienced firsthand the transformative power of belonging. Being surrounded by people who champion one another has not only enriched my sense of community but also played a pivotal role in my personal and professional growth. Stepping into these spaces boosted my confidence, helped me sharpen my leadership skills, and broadened my perspective. The support, insights, and mentorship I’ve gained have empowered me to embrace challenges and step into opportunities I may have once hesitated to pursue.
While every moment in these groups has been meaningful, a few stand out. Over the past couple of years, AWN has focused on themes of Development and Wellness, two pillars that resonate deeply with me. One of my favorite initiatives was curating and hosting a “Leadership Lessons” series where we invited some of our inspiring Autodesk leaders to share their journeys, insights, and advice. The visibility and access we gained through these conversations were invaluable, allowing us to learn from their experiences and connect with our leaders on a personal level.
A key takeaway from the “Leadership Lessons” series is the understanding that true leadership is about creating space where everyone feels seen, heard, and valued. Each discussion offered unique insights into how leadership grounded in empathy, character, and adaptability helps foster a culture where belonging thrives. At Autodesk, leadership is rooted in building trust, listening with intention, and modeling integrity. When leaders create inclusive spaces where every voice matters, they inspire teams to bring their whole selves to work. This sense of belonging fuels collaboration, innovation, and resilience.
These leadership values also shape how we engage with both our employees and our customers. Whether we’re building lasting client relationships or supporting a colleague, it’s our commitment to building a trusted environment that drives our success. At Autodesk, we cultivate belonging by actively supporting, respecting, and empowering people to contribute to innovation.
Why I love working at Autodesk
One of the most meaningful reasons I love working at Autodesk is the support I receive as a parent. The flexibility of our hybrid working environment has been a huge support for my family life. Being able to split time between the office and home means I’m more present not just at work, but also for my daughter. I’ve been able to take her to school in the mornings, be there for important moments in her life, and have dinner together without feeling like I’m sacrificing my career. That balance is something I don’t take for granted.
It’s rare to find a workplace that enables you to stay connected to your family in such a meaningful way – and for me, that makes all the difference. The flexibility has made me a better employee and, more importantly, a better parent.
