Autodesk interns are the next generation of innovators who will take their ideas and turn them into reality, shaping our future environments, products, and experiences. That\u2019s why we offer an exciting internship experience for students that can also lead to full-time job opportunities with Autodesk after graduation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Our global internship program lets students work on impactful projects while learning from some of the top talent in the industry. We encourage our interns to develop professionally, connect with their fellow interns, and immerse themselves in our culture.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We recently asked some of our current interns to tell us about their experience so far:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Amrita Dash<\/strong> is a software engineer intern based in Bengaluru. She is in her final year at Siksha ‘O’ Anusandhan and will be graduating with a degree in computer science. Amrita loves learning new technologies and exploring career options, so she has always kept an open mind when it comes to choosing her career \u2013 she\u2019s interested in everything from software engineering and development to HR and management consulting. In her free time, she loves running and freehand sketching.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Soumyadeep Dutta<\/strong> is a software engineer intern based in Pune and is in his final year at the Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology. After graduating with a degree in engineering and computer science, he hopes to work as a software engineer in the tech industry. Outside of work, Soumyadeep is a musician and loves to cover songs playing guitar, bass, and ukulele.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Vy Huynh<\/strong> is a project coordinator intern based in California. She will be a senior at San Jose State University studying management information systems and is interested in a career in operations, business analytics, and\/or automation. Vy enjoys experimenting with different entrepreneurial ideas \u2013 she used to own businesses in fine jewelry and fashion. She\u2019s currently learning more about artificial intelligence and machine learning for her next venture.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Alexis Mercado<\/strong> is a software engineer intern based in Mississippi and attends the University of Arkansas. After graduating in December 2022 with a degree in computer science and minors in mathematics and data analytics, he wants to have a career in data analytics, artificial intelligence, and\/or machine learning. Outside of his internship, Alexis always has a side project or other job that he\u2019s working on. In his free time, he enjoys fishing and spending quality time with his family.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Why did you decide on an internship with Autodesk?<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Amrita:<\/strong> I was already familiar with a lot of Autodesk products and have used some of them personally as well. I\u2019m also very passionate about the vision Autodesk holds \u2013 the company provides users with tools to visualize and simulate their ideas even before they\u2019ve created them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Soumyadeep: <\/strong>Everything in the world, be it the cars we drive, the buildings we live in, or the movies we watch, all incorporate Autodesk products in one way or another. Getting the opportunity to be part of such an organization that has a huge impact on this world is just great!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Vy:<\/strong> When I was in Vietnam, I learned that many top architecture firms use Autodesk software to translate creativity and design into real-world infrastructure. It\u2019s a really cool mission that I can stand behind because I see myself as a creative person, and Autodesk\u2019s values also align with my values.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Alexis: <\/strong>Throughout all stages of the interview process, I met amazing individuals who represented Autodesk in a very high manner. I was deciding between multiple internships, but when I received my offer from Autodesk, it was crystal clear what I had to do.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What has been your favorite part of the internship so far?<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Soumyadeep: <\/strong>Working on great technologies and meeting new people. Since it\u2019s a global internship program, you get to meet fellow interns from around the world. The leaders here are also very supportive; you can truly ask them about anything, and they are always there to help you.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Vy:<\/strong> Even though Autodesk is a big company, I love how flexible the company is. My manager gave me the opportunity to brainstorm my internship project, then helped me review the ideas. I got to base my project on the skills I want to develop, which are analytics and automation. This experience gives me room to grow as a professional.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Alexis:<\/strong> Being able to connect with smart and amazing individuals! As a newcomer to the industry, there\u2019s still so much left to learn, and Autodesk has so much wisdom spread throughout its employees. It\u2019s also been amazing to learn and experience the real-world industry. And although I\u2019m working remotely, there\u2019s never been a day I\u2019ve felt alone \u2013 I know I can count on my manager and her team.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Amrita:<\/strong> I can easily connect with people, not just across my team, but across the whole organization. I really like my team members \u2013 they\u2019ve been very supportive and understanding since day one. Also, the mentorship program has been very helpful. Every week, I get to interact with different people and gain a lot of knowledge from them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What has surprised you most about Autodesk?<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Alexis:<\/strong> I did have some prior knowledge about Autodesk before my internship began, however, it was like many others in the regard of having heard of or worked with AutoCAD. I was honestly blown away once I became more aware of how much of an impact Autodesk has globally and over multiple industries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Vy:<\/strong> I was surprised to learn that Autodesk interns get benefits, like paid sick time. When my mom got sick, I had to take her to the hospital for a doctor’s appointment and got paid sick leave to help my mom. I very much appreciate the meaningful support \u2013 it enables me to focus on my work and add the most value to the company.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Soumyadeep: <\/strong>In our first year of university, we were introduced to AutoCAD to learn how engineering design works. At that time, I thought Autodesk was just related to this type of design. But after joining the company, I came to know that its software isn\u2019t limited to architecture, engineering, and construction; Autodesk is also involved in industries like media & entertainment and manufacturing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Amrita:<\/strong> I\u2019ve always been fascinated with Autodesk products. I\u2019ve used some of them personally \u2013 including Sketchbook Pro for my freehand sketching \u2013 and I was also already familiar with AutoCAD, Revit, Fusion 360, BIM 360, and Maya. The one thing that has surprised me the most about Autodesk is the fact that everything we can see around us has in some way been touched by Autodesk, which is a huge level of impact that Autodesk is creating in society.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
