Okay guys, we’re almost there—time to pack your bags, get your ducks in a row, and head to Las Vegas for the Autodesk learning event of the year. We. Are. So. Excited. Here are a few last-minute tips to help you get out the door and make the most of your time at AU 2016.
Watch this video to see what’s new at AU this year, and get excited. Make sure you’ve saved your seat in all the classes you want to take, and download class materials ahead of time—AU is a sustainable event, so we don’t provide paper handouts. If you’ve been to AU in the past, you know the drill: be sure to bring layers, comfortable shoes, and Chapstick. If it’s your first time, use our handy packing checklist for added tips on what to bring (and what not to bring.)
It probably goes without saying, but allow yourself plenty of time to get to the airport and through security. Even though we’re ahead of the holidays this year, it’s always better to be safe than sorry. (If you’re traveling from overseas and you need a visa, you should have it sorted by now.)
When you get here
Once you arrive in Las Vegas look for the big green AU Share Ride signs in the airport arrivals area to share a cab to the conference venue. Who knows, you might meet your new best friend before you even get there.
We recommend registering early to beat the crowds—if you’re arriving on Sunday or Monday, get it done first. Registration in The Hub is open during these hours:
Sunday, November 13 4:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m.
Monday, November 14 7:00 a.m.-8:00 p.m.
Tuesday, November 15 6:30 a.m.-8:00 p.m.
Wednesday, November 16 6:30 a.m.-8:00 p.m.
Thursday, November 17 6:30 a.m.-7:00 p.m.
Be sure to save some time to pop into the Idea Exchange and help us shape the future of Autodesk products, and stop by Open Lab for a 30-minute hands-on class focused on new features, tips, and tricks.
Catch all 3 keynotes on the main stage, and attend networking events every evening. Make sure you download the AU mobile app, use #AU2016 on your social feeds, and tell your colleagues to live vicariously through the live stream so they can be part of the AU excitement. And please take a second to fill out a Conference Survey before you head home. Help us make AU better.
That’s it folks—we’ll see you in Las Vegas. Let’s do this.
