Time waits for no one and the CFP submission deadline looms nearer every day. If you\u2019re still thinking about submitting a class proposal for AU Las Vegas 2016, we\u2019re here to give you a nudge\u2014and even steer you in the right direction.<\/p>\n

We\u2019ve received class proposals spanning a wide variety of industries and practices. AEC, you\u2019re bringing it as always\u2014keep it up. But like any partner, parent, or school principal, we expect great things from everyone. So we\u2019re throwing down a challenge to manufacturing experts and asking for more proposals on a set of key industry topics:<\/p>\n

Automotive and industrial design<\/strong><\/p>\n

Driverless cars may not need you behind the wheel, but the future of the industry isn\u2019t designing itself. Share your insight and expertise on visualization and simulation tools and workflows to drive better automotive design decisions, from start to finish. Help designers create compelling consumer and automotive designs using new sketching, modeling, surfacing, and analysis tools.<\/p>\n

Product design<\/strong><\/p>\n

Keeping up with changing consumer expectations? Teach tips, tricks, and best practices to help product designers sharpen their tools and communicate design intent using Inventor, Revit, and other Autodesk Product Design Suite software, and across multiple platforms including cloud services.<\/p>\n

Simulation<\/strong><\/p>\n

We expect our AU Tournament of Topics winner to make a good CFP showing too.\u00a0Do you have a simulation success story or insight to share? Help others learn how to use simulation technology to ensure that a design is not only desirable but can be manufactured and will perform as expected.<\/p>\n

If you specialize in these areas, now is the time to step up to the plate. Speaking at AU is good for your resume, your career, and your business. Heck, we\u2019d even go so far as to say it\u2019s good for your health. (Fresh desert air and sunshine in November, anyone?) It\u2019s also an incredible opportunity to share your experience and knowledge with your peers and contribute to the future of making things in your industry. Plus, you get to rub elbows with industry leaders and attend AU on us. It doesn’t get much better than that.<\/p>\n
