Okay folks, this is it. You have 5 days left to submit your AU 2016 class proposals. Maybe you\u2019ve got a great idea but you\u2019re still sitting on it. Maybe you started your proposal then got distracted by the return of your favorite TV show, or the end of the school year, or your mother-in-law who\u2019s been sleeping on the couch for about 2 weeks too long. Whatever excuse you\u2019re telling yourself, we\u2019re here to say, \u201cStop it.\u201d And also, \u201cStart it.\u201d (Your proposal, that is.) Or maybe, \u201cFinish it.\u201d Definitely, \u201cDo it.\u201d<\/p>\n

We want to hear your ideas, share your experiences, and spread your inspiration. And we want you to do great things, because AU is all about community. We\u2019re sharing, learning, and growing together. What are you doing to shape the future of your industry? What can you teach others in your field to help them overcome obstacles? How can you help designers, engineers, and makers everywhere make the world a better place?\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

Whether you\u2019re brand new to AU or you\u2019ve been around the block a few times, watching seasoned speakers is a great way to get an idea of what works (and what doesn\u2019t work) in the AU classroom. Check out last year\u2019s top-rated speakers<\/a> or head to AU online and search for names you know like Lynn Allen, David Butts, Robert Green, and Marcello Sgambelluri. Last year\u2019s AU Las Vegas General Sessions<\/a> and Innovation Forums<\/a> are also great displays of how to work the room.<\/p>\n

If you\u2019re looking for extra inspiration, think outside the AU box. TED Talks feature some of the brightest minds of our time, sharing fascinating ideas and groundbreaking work\u2014much like we do here at AU. They\u2019ve even curated playlists on things we love like architectural inspiration<\/a>, sustainable design<\/a>,\u00a0design giants<\/a>, and\u00a0the art of making things<\/a>.<\/p>\n

You never know where the next big idea will come from\u2014maybe from you. But you\u2019ll never know unless you ship it. Or in this case, submit it. Don’t wait another day. Submit your class proposal now<\/a>.<\/p>\n
