That\u2019s the buzzer for the CFP. This year\u2019s Call for Proposals is now closed, and boy\u2014what a response! We received over 2,000 proposals, more than last year. (Fun fact: we received more than 700 proposals in the final hours\u2014way to hustle, folks.)<\/p>\n<p>We\u2019d like to thank each and every 1 of you who put in the time and hard work to prepare and submit a class proposal. Your dedication is what makes AU such an incredible learning experience and an inspiration to the whole Autodesk community. Please give yourself a pat on the back.&#160;<\/p>\n<p>As in previous years, there will be multiple class formats at AU this year, and we received a nice balance of proposals for each. Instructional demos and hands-on labs provide product training. Industry talks, panels, and roundtables are where to go for thought leadership and industry innovation. Here\u2019s how the submitted proposals break down by format:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Instructional demo proposals: 43%<\/li>\n<li>Industry talk proposals: 34%<\/li>\n<li>Hands-on lab proposals: 12%<\/li>\n<li>Roundtable proposals: 8%<\/li>\n<li>Panel proposals: 3%<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>AU industry experts and track managers are now poring over the pages, faced with the challenge of selecting fewer than 700 classes to bring to AU Las Vegas. (Good luck guys\u2014glad we\u2019re not you.) We can report that trending topics include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Building Information Modeling (BIM)<\/li>\n<li>Digital Prototyping<\/li>\n<li>Simulation<\/li>\n<li>Cloud Services<\/li>\n<li>Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) and Data Management<\/li>\n<li>Design Visualization.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Once again, a big thanks to everyone who proposed classes. We\u2019ll notify submitters and selected speakers in late June.
