It\u2019s where you\u2019ll start your AU week and also where you\u2019ll end it. It\u2019s a place you\u2019ll go to meet with colleagues, a place you\u2019ll go to party, and a place you can go to just relax. Maybe you\u2019ll even play a game or 2 of corn hole ther<\/a>e.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s the Hub, and if you\u2019re headed to AU, it\u2019s an important place to know about. It\u2019s on Level 2, the main floor for all the big social events. As the name indicates, it\u2019s sort of the center of the AU wheel<\/strong>, a place you\u2019ll return to for various reasons (or any time you feel like it).<\/p>\n

What\u2019s happening in the Hub? <\/strong><\/p>\n

Orientation Tours\u2014<\/strong>Learn your way around the AU campus with a 30 minute Orientation Tour<\/strong> led by AU alumni. They\u2019ll be leaving from the Hub every hour on Sunday, 4:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m., Monday, 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m., and Tuesday, 7:00 a.m.-9:00 a.m.<\/p>\n

The AR Gallery\u2014<\/strong>Explore 3D models created by students as part of the Design for Industry program using the latest augmented reality technologies. Projects are from the fields of automotive, space, medical, and more.<\/p>\n

Welcome Reception\u2014Monday night from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m<\/strong>. we kick off the week of learning with drinks and small bites. Catch up with old colleagues, make some new connections, and get focused on what you want to get out of your week.<\/p>\n

Breakfast\u2014<\/strong>Morning bites are served 6:30 a.m.-8:00 a.m<\/strong>. each day in the Hub. Grab your coffee, a pastry, some fruit, and some protein on your way to class.<\/p>\n

Meet-up Caf\u00e9\u2014<\/strong>The Hub is the home of the Meet-up Caf\u00e9, where you can sit down with colleagues to continue a conversation or start one. Groups of 4 or fewer can reserve a table through OpenTable<\/strong><\/a> on the the AU app. Larger groups can reserve space with staff at the Caf\u00e9 check-in desk. And you can always just take your chances without a reservation.<\/p>\n

Regional Receptions (<\/strong>APAC<\/strong><\/a>, <\/strong>EMEA<\/strong><\/a>, and <\/strong>LATAM<\/strong><\/a>)<\/strong>\u2014<\/strong>Gather for an evening with peers and experts from your region to build relationships, share knowledge, and see how others are solving the same challenges you face. Light refreshments will be served.<\/p>\n

Meetups\u2014<\/strong>Hang with your peers while networking over a game of Giant Jenga<\/a>, cornhole<\/a>, lawn bowling<\/a>, or ring toss<\/a>. Read more about the meetups<\/a>.<\/p>\n
