And there\u2019s no better way to learn what\u2019s possible than by looking to the projects that are leading the industry.<\/p>\n<p>The AEC Excellence Awards do just that. Specifically, the awards recognize achievement in design, engineering, and construction across 4 segments: Sustainability, Infrastructure, Building, and Construction. \u00a0An international panel of independent judges with industry expertise evaluates submissions based on criteria including project complexity, collaboration, innovative processes and workflows, and the use of emerging technologies.<\/p>\n<p>In these 15-minute videos, the teams behind the 2017 first-place winners in each segment share their inspirations, approaches, and processes.<\/p>\n<p><strong>2017 AEC Excellence in Sustainability: The Porter School of Environmental Studies<br \/>\n<\/strong>The Porter School of Environmental Studies at Tel Aviv University is the first LEED Platinum-certified project in Israel.
