The latest BIM 360 Docs update includes two highly-requested features: drag-and-drop file upload and a project-wide issues list. This update includes other usability and quality improvements as well.
Drag and Drop File Upload
Now you can drag and drop multiple files into a BIM 360 Docs folder, making it much easier to add large numbers of files at once. Just click and drag anywhere in the list / thumbnail pane to upload.
Project Issue List
Now you can view the complete list of project Issues, along with the status, due date, and other details. To access the Issues list, we have added a new left-hand navigation bar. Select the issue icon to view the list, and select the folder icon to return to the folder view.
Please check out these new capabilities, and we look forward to hearing your feedback!
The Autodesk team needs to be releasing more features and quicker to both the web / iPad. The week before AU 2016 (in las vegas) – Trimble launched Project Sight that has significantly more features and abilities than Docs (which will be a year old in Feb 2017). Also, Plangrid which has been around at least 3 years – has a lot more features. It seems like those two products are releasing things about the same rate as Autodesk, but Autodesk still has to get the basic’s caught up to the other products (as a good example – filter / tagging – you are able to see just the Architectural drawings or Structural Drawings) but Doc’s doesn’t. Another one on the iPad you can search the drawing sheets in both plangrid and projectsight but in doc’s you aren’t able to.
Do we Expect Project-Wide Markup List too in the near future? this is important for Design Review BIM Use where users can see a list of markups per file, per project …etc. and interactively navigate to these markups from the list.
Hi Chad,
Thanks for the comments. We already have an interactive Issue list on the Docs iOS app, and we agree that there is more we can do to deliver a rich experience on the web. This is on our near-term roadmap. Look for improvements to this list in the upcoming Docs releases.

While having the new Project Issue List is appreciated, it doesn’t provide much additional value unless an issue can be selected to be taken to the sheet where it was recorded, and/or a quick view popup preview over the list.
I think you need to look towards your competitors as examples.
In the following two screenshots I like the UI simplicity of PlanGrid (BTW with Docs looking very similar), but do like the Trello style of prioritising issues in FieldWire, and both have popup details of the issue.
