Sofistik Reinforcement Detailing 2017 is Available

As Autodesk is collaborating a lot with Industry Partners on Reinforcement Modeling and Detailing, we would like to give you some more information about the latest version of the Sofistik Reinforcement Detailing tools, for Revit 2017.

SOFiSTiK Reinforcement Detailing significantly accelerates the creation of complex rebar and the generation of 2D reinforcement sheets out of 3D models in Autodesk® Revit®. The product consists of software and a set of families, which can easily be modified to meet local or company standards. Creation of bar lists, bending schedules and cut lists for wire meshes is included as well.

In this new release some big improvements have been made that can solve lots of your challenges in reinforcement detailing, such as:

  • Face Reinforcement : creates and places rebars at the concrete cover of a selected face in main and transversal direction. This can be a double curved shape as well.
  • Distribute Reinforcement : allows you to create rebars along it’s host shape and a chosen path and optionally extrapolates the geometry.
  • OpenXML schedules : The Word OpenXML Schedule is a printable document in the “docx” file format. This reinforcement schedule will be created based on customizable docx template.
  • Stagger rebar : staggers segment lengths of the Structural Rebar Container SOFiSTiK_Variable_RebarSet.
