February 19, 2019"},"content":{"rendered":"<h3>The February 19, 2019 BIM 360 Docs release includes the following features and improvements for Docs users:<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>The highly-requested document transmittal feature (New)!<\/li>\n<li>Review and approval workflow feature enhancements<\/li>\n<li>Streamlined user experience for bulk-editing Issue permissions<\/li>\n<li>Usability improvements<\/li>\n<li>Updated iOS and Android apps (released earlier this month)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Introducing Document Transmittals<\/h3>\n<p>We are pleased to announce the availability of the newest BIM 360 Docs feature for generating and tracking document transmittals.\u00a0 We designed this feature to support the formal process used in the AEC industry for\u00a0conveying information (usually project drawings, models, and other documents) from one project team member to one or more other project team members.\u00a0 Examples for using transmittals include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>General Contractor issuing a transmittal to Subcontractors bidding on a project.<\/li>\n<li>Design Architect issuing a transmittal to the Owner and\/or General Contractor<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>This release includes the following capabilities:<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>For Transmittal creators<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Select one or more documents or an entire folder (Plans and Project Files folders)<\/li>\n<li>Select users, roles, or companies<\/li>\n<li>Add a description and instructions (for example, what is the purpose and is any action required)<\/li>\n<li>Automatic email notifications to recipients<\/li>\n<li>A new Transmittals tab with complete list of all sent and received transmittals<\/li>\n<li>View contents and recipients of each document transmittal (version-specific)<\/li>\n<li>All activity tracked in the project-level Activity Log<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong><em>For Transmittal recipients<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Receive email notifications<\/li>\n<li>A new Transmittal tab for viewing and accessing all relevant transmittals<\/li>\n<li>View complete list of contents of each transmittal and view the specific versions of drawings and models that were shared<\/li>\n<li>Export and download the entire group of documents and files transmitted (in a ZIP file).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><em>Note:\u00a0 For PDF drawings exported from the Plans folders, the ZIP file will include multiple individual PDF drawings.\u00a0 For other file types, the export will include the &#8220;source&#8221; iOS and Android<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>In addition to the latest web updates, we have also released new versions of the unified BIM 360 iOS and Android apps.
