August 2019"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>During the month of August, the BIM 360 team delivered a number of features and enhancements to improve document collaboration, visibility, and control:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Document Control\n<ul>\n<li>File-level Activity Log<\/li>\n<li>Document Log &#8211; now with custom attributes<\/li>\n<li>Set deletion<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Review and Markup\n<ul>\n<li>Review workflow report (individual review)<\/li>\n<li>New callout markup tools (text with arrow and cloud)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Updated Issues feature (ability to re-open and other usability improvements)<\/li>\n<li>Other improvements\n<ul>\n<li>Search results in thumbnail view (in addition to list view)<\/li>\n<li>Copy and Move files that are still processing<\/li>\n<li>Copy and Move &#8211; folder selection improvements<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3><strong>File-level Activity Log<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>BIM 360 provides improved accountability and control with the project-level activity log, which provides a full document history for review or export.\u00a0 Until August, this level of detail has only been available to Project Admins.\u00a0 In order to improve collaboration and visibility for more project team members, we have introduced the new file-level activity log feature.\u00a0 Currently available for all new projects created after August 2, the file-level activity log, available to users with &#8220;edit&#8221; permission or higher, provides the following capabilities:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>View a complete history of file level activity.<\/li>\n<li>Filter the file level activity log by action owner, activity type, and time period.<\/li>\n<li>Export the file level activity log for offline use.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>In order to make this feature available for projects that existed prior to August 2, we need to perform an extensive data migration (this must be done to ensure that each file-level activity log contains all previous activities for a complete historical record).\u00a0 Full availability for existing projects will be announced after the data migration has been completed.<\/p>\n<div style=\"width: 640px;\" class=\"wp-video\"><video class=\"wp-video-shortcode\" id=\"video-1801-1\" width=\"640\" height=\"311\" preload=\"metadata\" controls=\"controls\"><source type=\"video\/mp4\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.autodesk.com\/bim360-release-notes\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/127\/2019\/09\/File-Level-Activity-August-2019.mp4?_=1\" \/><a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.autodesk.com\/bim360-release-notes\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/127\/2019\/09\/File-Level-Activity-August-2019.mp4\">https:\/\/blogs.autodesk.com\/bim360-release-notes\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/127\/2019\/09\/File-Level-Activity-August-2019.mp4<\/a><\/video><\/div>\n<h3><\/h3>\n<h3>Document Log with Custom Attributes<\/h3>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.autodesk.com\/bim360-release-notes\/2018\/11\/03\/bim-360-docs-update-october-31-2018\/\">Document Log<\/a> feature, first introduced in October 2018, provides a report showing the latest version of each document in a folder.\u00a0 In the latest release, we added custom attributes (metadata) to the Document Log report.\u00a0 Any custom attributes associated with a document will be automatically included in the report.<\/p>\n<div style=\"width: 640px;\" class=\"wp-video\"><video class=\"wp-video-shortcode\" id=\"video-1801-2\" width=\"640\" height=\"311\" preload=\"metadata\" controls=\"controls\"><source type=\"video\/mp4\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.autodesk.com\/bim360-release-notes\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/127\/2019\/09\/2019_08_Doc-Log-with-Attributes.mp4?_=2\" \/><a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.autodesk.com\/bim360-release-notes\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/127\/2019\/09\/2019_08_Doc-Log-with-Attributes.mp4\">https:\/\/blogs.autodesk.com\/bim360-release-notes\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/127\/2019\/09\/2019_08_Doc-Log-with-Attributes.mp4<\/a><\/video><\/div>\n<h3><\/h3>\n<h3>Delete a Document Set<\/h3>\n<p>The Document Set feature makes it easier to organize and manage specific versions of documents into \u201cSets\u201d (packages) that are issued for a specific purpose during the project life cycle.\u00a0 The latest Docs update includes the highly-requested ability to delete a Set for improved usability and document control.<\/p>\n<div style=\"width: 640px;\" class=\"wp-video\"><video class=\"wp-video-shortcode\" id=\"video-1801-3\" width=\"640\" height=\"311\" preload=\"metadata\" controls=\"controls\"><source type=\"video\/mp4\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.autodesk.com\/bim360-release-notes\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/127\/2019\/09\/2019_08_Delete-Set.mp4?_=3\" \/><a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.autodesk.com\/bim360-release-notes\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/127\/2019\/09\/2019_08_Delete-Set.mp4\">https:\/\/blogs.autodesk.com\/bim360-release-notes\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/127\/2019\/09\/2019_08_Delete-Set.mp4<\/a><\/video><\/div>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>Review Workflow Reporting<\/h3>\n<p>Now you can run a report on any Review workflow.\u00a0 The report provides a comprehensive summary of the documents, approval status, markups, and comments.<\/p>\n<div style=\"width: 640px;\" class=\"wp-video\"><video class=\"wp-video-shortcode\" id=\"video-1801-4\" width=\"640\" height=\"311\" preload=\"metadata\" controls=\"controls\"><source type=\"video\/mp4\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.autodesk.com\/bim360-release-notes\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/127\/2019\/09\/2019_08_Review-Report.mp4?_=4\" \/><a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.autodesk.com\/bim360-release-notes\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/127\/2019\/09\/2019_08_Review-Report.mp4\">https:\/\/blogs.autodesk.com\/bim360-release-notes\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/127\/2019\/09\/2019_08_Review-Report.mp4<\/a><\/video><\/div>\n<h3><\/h3>\n<h3>Other Improvements<\/h3>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Search<\/strong> &#8211;
