Mike Davison
February 1, 2018

As part of our transition to a unified BIM 360 platform, we are now publishing a single BIM 360 roadmap.  This roadmap outlines our top priorities across all of BIM 360.  Feel free to scan it from top to bottom to get a comprehensive summary of the things we are working on to improve BIM 360.  You can also you the links at the top to jump to any section that you are interested in.  We hope you enjoy this new format for our roadmaps and invite you to post comments with your feedback and suggestions for improvements.

Thanks,

The BIM 360 Product Team

Hi Mike, is there a timetable for [Generating QR codes for location nodes]? And will there be a function to use QR codes to track concrete status, both cast in-situ and precast unit? Cheers, Ben

      Hi Ben,

This is a great question and a feature we see readily used in BIM 360 Field today. As we currently released the LBS (location break down structure) excel import this past week our next task is to add QR / Barcodes as an attribute to each node. We will then bring the ability to scan these codes from the BIM 360 mobile device and take you to your “location” and all the metadata around it.

I hope this clarifies where we are heading.

      Kind regards,
      Shirin Arnold

Hi Edwin – we are making good progress on this. Should be done in the next couple of months.

    Hey Mike,
thanks for keeping everbody in the loop. What we are missing in the road map is the integration of schedule data (MS Project, Primavera etc). That would be very helpful in target-performance comparison. As of now I can’t see any way of doing that…
    Cheers Chris

      Hi Chris:

Thanks for your comment. I agree with you about the importance of schedule data. We are looking into this and will update the roadmap when we have more to share on this topic.

      Best,
      Mike
