Hi Community! We would like to introduce our Autodesk Community Summer 2022 Interns.

My name is Mariam Doumbia, and I am on the Autodesk Community team as a Program Manager Intern. I am currently completing my MBA at the University of San Francisco, California (class of 2023). Before joining the team, I worked in Fintech and management consulting. In my free time, I enjoy hikes and tennis. What excites me about my work at Autodesk is the community & user-centric spirit, from product design to implementing forum initiatives that are driven by our community members and their needs.

My name is Zeke Rong, and I am a Product Manager Intern at Autodesk for the online community. Currently a senior at Carnegie Mellon University majoring in Information Systems, I am passionate to pursue a career in product management. Studying Information Systems made me realize how important technology could be in making impacts around us; this resonates with Autodesk’s idea of “changing how the world is designed and made” and made me decide to choose Autodesk.

This summer, we worked on redesigning the online community members’ welcome and onboarding experience across the various forums. The aim of the project is to bring a more intuitive way for members to learn how to navigate the different pages, find information and contribute, build their network, and get the best value possible.

The project entailed analyzing feedback from thousands of community members, conducting a large-scale industry benchmarking, and completing technical feasibility studies on the suggested improvements. Additionally, we held retrospective meetings with the internal community Managers and broader team, to gather design ideas that would be most representative of our online forums’ culture.

Our north star goal in the upcoming months is to achieve a visually engaging and self-guided design, with quick-to-access “how to” guides that new or elite members alike will find digestible and helpful.
