In episode 03 of his third VRED series, Mike Turner goes deeper into raytraced rendering and covers the basics as well as an overview of VRED options and how hardware/software is evolving.
In episode 04, Mike shows you how to add basic motion within an environment to convey a sense of dynamism and speed – essentially showcasing what your vehicle design would look like in motion. His tips for key frame animation will also help reduce post-processing time.

Basic Motion Tips in VRED
1:26: This exterior imaging work begins with animating the wheels.
3:02: As with several tips Mike has shared, you can copy the wheel rotations to the other side of your vehicle.
4:11: Your next step is to set-up your camera for motion blur.
5:01: Then you’ll want to animate your vehicle’s environment.
6:34: Enabling motion blur adds a dramatic effect to your environment.
7:27: As an alternate, you can switch off raytracing and use a two-part camera to create motion.
9:26: You can play with tone mapping, switching it from Reinhard luminance to filmic. Mike previously did this kind of tone work in Photoshop, but this trick has allowed him to do it directly in VRED.
10:17: And finally, you can add Glow to give your scene another layer of motion.
