Loading more data increases file size, so it\u2019s best to be selective.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h_30dc6421f9\">Step 4: Review informational dialogs<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>An <strong>Open Data Attribution<\/strong> dialog appears, listing third-party data sources used in the Forma proposal. Click <strong>OK<\/strong> to continue.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A <strong>warning <\/strong>dialog then appears. Review the warnings and close the dialog to proceed.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h_14b0b5af9b\">Step 5: Review the imported model<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Hold <strong>Shift + right-click<\/strong> to orbit and view the proposal in Revit.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If annotation elements clutter the view, press <strong>VV<\/strong>, go to <strong>Annotation Categories<\/strong>, and turn off <strong>Levels<\/strong> and <strong>Scope Boxes<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Switch between visual styles as needed. In <strong>Realistic<\/strong> view, satellite imagery appears over the topography.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h_622a8ef9e5\">How Forma data translates to Revit<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Contextual data<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Terrain<\/strong> is imported as a <strong>toposolid<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Contextual buildings<\/strong> are grouped as <strong>generic models<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Site limits<\/strong> and roads are imported as <strong>model lines<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Building proposal<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Walls<\/strong> become <strong>basic exterior 400mm walls<\/strong>, which can be changed to other wall types, such as curtain walls.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Roofs<\/strong> become <strong>generic 225 mm roofs<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Floors<\/strong> become <strong>concrete 100mm slabs<\/strong>, which can be edited to different slab types, such as a 300 mm concrete slab.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p>Now you can continue developing your building design in Revit while keeping all the contextual site data imported from Forma Site Design.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Watch this video to learn how to easily move from early-stage design in Forma Site Design to more detailed modeling in Revit.
