This add-in allows you to expedite the delivery of environmentally sound projects created in Forma using the powerful documentation features in Revit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>What does the Forma-Revit interoperability tool do?<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The Forma Add-in for Revit allows users to transfer a proposal from Forma into Revit through the &#8220;Send to Revit&#8221; feature to convert the proposal buildings, site limits, terrain, and buildable areas into editable Revit elements. Iterative design can then be carried out in Revit and transferred to Forma for further analysis.<\/p>\n\n\n<?xml encoding=\"utf-8\" ?><figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-wistia-inc wp-block-embed-wistia-inc\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Core video: Interoperability between Autodesk Forma and Revit\" src=\"https:\/\/fast.wistia.net\/embed\/iframe\/pyvad9u39f?dnt=1\" allow=\"autoplay; fullscreen\" allowtransparency=\"true\" frameborder=\"0\" scrolling=\"no\" class=\"wistia_embed\" name=\"wistia_embed\" msallowfullscreen width=\"500\" height=\"281\" style=\"aspect-ratio:500 \/ 281;width:100%;height:auto;\"><\/iframe><script src=\"https:\/\/fast.wistia.net\/assets\/external\/E-v1.js\" async><\/script>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>How to use the Forma Add-in for Revit<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>To access the latest add-in version, users can access the three-dot menu of any proposal thumbnail and select &#8220;Download Revit add-in.&#8221;&nbsp; Then, select a conceptual proposal to transfer using the &#8220;Send to Revit&#8221; feature. In Revit, users can find the Forma add-in under the Massing and Site tab, which allows filtering which elements will be brought into Revit and how they will be represented.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.autodesk.com\/learn\/ondemand\/curated\/forma-revit-interoperability\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">View tutorials on how to send proposals between Forma and Revit<\/a>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Forma proposal&#8217;s origin aligns with the Project Base Point in Revit while keeping its Georeferenced coordinates.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>While the add-in is regularly being improved, the currently supported conversions are:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Terrain is converted to Toposolids in Revit 2024 or Toposurfaces in previous versions<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Basic Buildings and Released Line Buildings are converted to Walls, Floors, and Roofs<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>3d Sketch Buildings are converted to loaded mass families with mass floors<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Line Buildings, Vegetation, context buildings, and ShapeDiver elements are converted to Generic Models (Direct Shapes)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Parking is converted to Parking Components (Testfit parking is currently not supported)<br><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Changes in Revit can be updated into a Forma proposal using the \u201cUpdate Proposal\u201d feature in the add-in.
