One of the very handy updates to Vault Professional 2014 is the ability of Civil 3D to create projects in subfolders within the Vault folder structure. This makes it very easy for users to find data in a structure they are familiar with.
When you create a project inside of Civil 3D there is a new “Folder” option to choose from…
This is allows you to browse to the folder you want to create your Civil 3D project in, even if it’s in a subfolder…
Once created you can now see the Civil 3D project in context of the greater project folder structure…
Other side benefits of this of course allow users to organize projects by phases, meet the requirement of multiple databases per project and the need to organize Civil 3D objects into sub-folders. It’s just one more way Vault’s flexibility can keep your company’s projects purring.
