What’s new in AutoCAD Plant 3D 2020<\/a><\/p>\n

The performance improvements for P&ID and Vault workflows are really great.<\/p>\n

Note that some improvements for plain AutoCAD shouldn’t be used in an AutoCAD Plant 3D environment. For example the DWG Compare is great for orthographic drawings but not for isometrics. There the DWG Compare does not make any sense by its nature.<\/p>\n

But of course some improvements can be used in Plant 3D as well. Here some examples:<\/p>\n

The\u00a0Purge feature<\/strong>\u00a0has been redesigned. See here:\u00a0Purge Dialog Box<\/a><\/p>\n

Quick Measuring<\/strong>: Measuring has become much faster with the new Quick option of the MEASUREGEOM command. With this option, you can quickly review the dimensions, distances, and angles within a 2D drawing.\u00a0About Finding Distances, Angles, and Point Locations\u00a0<\/a><\/p>\n

A new\u00a0installation<\/strong>\u00a0technology dramatically improves the install time on solid state drives (SSD), typically reducing the time by about half.\u00a0Network access time to xrefs, blocks, and support files has been improved. Support files include those associated with hatches, tool palettes, fonts, linetypes, template files, standards files, and so on.
