The October 27, 2013 release of Autodesk Green Building Studio extends the functionality of Project Solon Alpha, which allows you to customize how GBS energy analysis results are reported.
Green Building Studio performs validation testing as a routine part of each of our releases, including the industry-accepted test: ANSI/ASHRAE Standard 140-2011, as well as internal Analytical Results Regression Testing, and Vasari/Revit Conceptual Mass Model Energy Simulation Results Regression Testing.
A previous Standard 140 bug was fixed for this release: the altitude of the DRYCOLD.bin weather file now uses the correct altitude of 0. Differences noted for this release are in COP2 calculations for Section 5-3B, and are likely due to a reporting bug, which will be addressed in an upcoming release. GBS is the cloud-based service which powers the Energy Analysis features in Vasari and Revit. As part of our quality assurance testing we perform daily and weekly regression tests on the Revit Energy Analysis capabilities. The tests are designed to determine whether or not any changes to how Revit and Vasari write gbXML files affect the GBS energy results. When differences do occur, the QA team investigates if any changes in energy results are expected. The Vasari/Revit Conceptual Mass Model Energy Simulation Results Regression Testing passed this release and results are available for download.
