If you rely on the popular Box file-sharing service, working with design and engineering files just got a whole lot better. At Boxworks 2015 in San Francisco, Box touted Autodesk as a key partner for its improved productivity and simplified workflows.
There are millions of design and engineering files stored on Box. And, until today, these files were stuck and unusable. This new integration between Box and Autodesk A360 removes the frustrations associated with the common tasks of viewing, sharing and reviewing designs, which amounts to productivity gains and better communication for designers and engineers.
Here’s how the integration works:
While Using Box
- Users can access A360 within Box’s App Gallery to easily view and share the following design file formats: AutoCAD DWG, Navisworks NWD, Fusion F3D, and Inventor IPT plus DWF, DWFX and DXF. In addition, STEP, STL and IGES formats are supported.
- The Autodesk A360 Viewer includes powerful capabilities such as Live Review, Explode, Isolate and Search.
While Using Autodesk A360
While working within the Autodesk A360 environment, users will have direct access to files stored within their Box accounts.
The integrated solution is available immediately. To experience the viewing capability, visit https://360.autodesk.com/viewer or access via Box’s App Gallery.
