At this year\u2019s International Manufacturing Technology Show (IMTS) in Chicago, Autodesk will be demonstrating its commitment to Open CAD by showcasing its portfolio of integrated desktop and cloud-based CAM solutions.<\/p>\n<p>Today, it is nearly impossible to find anything that is designed, engineered, and manufactured with tools from just a single software provider. Autodesk\u2019s goal is to supply manufacturers with CAM solutions that allow users to take advantage of a fully integrated design-to-manufacturing workflow built around their CAD platform of choice.<\/p>\n<p>Autodesk will exhibit many of its integrated CAM applications at IMTS 2014, including HSMWorks and Inventor HSM, which are designed as fully integrated CAM solutions for SolidWorks\u00ae and Autodesk Inventor. For customers who have multiple CAD solutions or have not committed to a single tool, the company will also be showing Autodesk Fusion 360, which offers a fully integrated, cloud-based, CAD\/CAM solution that supports modeling data from leading CAD platforms including CATIA, NX, and Pro\/ENGINEER.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cManufacturers have many options and expect to use software they\u2019re comfortable with on the devices and platforms that are most convenient for them,\u201d said Carl White, senior director of manufacturing engineering at Autodesk. \u201cCompatibility and interoperability with leading CAD tools can either open or shut the door to customers, and we want to make it clear that our doors are always open.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong>Autodesk CAM: The Technology Behind the New TV Series \u201cTITAN American Built\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The company also announced that it is the official CAD\/CAM sponsor for the first season of \u201c<a href=\"http:\/\/titanamericanbuilt.com\/\">TITAN American Built<\/a><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">,\u201d<\/span> a new television show airing October 24, 2014, on MavTV.
