On June 18, makers, tinkerers and DIYers will converge on the White House to celebrate its first national Maker Faire<\/a>, and Autodesk is excited to be a part of the action!<\/p>\n

The Faire gives Makers the opportunity to show the world how they use new technology and cutting edge tools to lead the new industrial revolution.<\/p>\n

In addition to the event at the White House, June 18 will also be known as the Day of Making. Everyone is encouraged to make something and share it using the hashtage #NationofMakers. You can start by posting that recipe on Instructables<\/a>, building that model in 123D<\/a> or unleashing your creativity with SketchBook Pro<\/a>, and join other Autodesk Makers from around the country.<\/p>\n

We aren\u2019t stopping at just one <\/em>day of making though. We want to inspire millions<\/em> of future makers in the U.S. to help make the future.  <\/p>\n

In celebration of the inaugural White House Maker Faire, Autodesk has partnered with Indiegogo<\/a>, the world\u2019s largest crowdfunding platform, to launch it\u2019s first-ever Maker Challenge<\/a>. The challenge provides the opportunity for Indiegogo makers to share their work with the world and raise money for their passion.<\/p>\n

Five selected campaigns will receive 123D Mentorship from Autodesk, while all qualifying maker-oriented projects will get access to Autodesk Fusion 360<\/a>, an easy-to-use 3D CAD\/CAM tool for those makers bringing new products to market.<\/p>\n

We are also excited to launch the Make the Future<\/em><\/a> initiative. This will see Autodesk providing the next generation of inventors, innovators and entrepreneurs with:<\/p>\n
