{"id":650,"date":"2014-01-07T16:00:33","date_gmt":"2014-01-07T16:00:33","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.autodesk.com\/inthefold\/2014\/01\/07\/autodesk-heads-to-ces\/"},"modified":"2014-01-07T16:00:33","modified_gmt":"2014-01-07T16:00:33","slug":"autodesk-heads-to-ces","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.autodesk.com\/inthefold\/autodesk-heads-to-ces\/","title":{"rendered":"Autodesk Heads to CES"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Every year the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) attracts the biggest names in consumer technology to reveal their newest hardware and software products.<\/p>\n<p>Autodesk is excited to be a part of this year\u2019s show with some consumer news of its own including a new partnership with Intel and the acquisition of Circuits.io technology, which will now officially be part of the 123D Circuits family.&#160;<\/p>\n<p>During his keynote, Intel\u2019s CEO Brian Krzanich announced a new chip, <strong>Intel Edison<\/strong>, a new <a href=\"http:\/\/newsroom.intel.com\/community\/intel_newsroom\/blog\/2013\/09\/10\/new-intel-ceo-president-outline-product-plans-future-of-computing-vision-to-mobilize-intel-and-developers\">Quark<\/a> technology-based computer housed on an SD card form factor with built-in wireless, whose design will be available in the <a href=\"http:\/\/123d.circuits.io\/\">123D Circuits<\/a> library. The addition of the new chip design will provide a free template for anyone starting an electronics project using Circuits. This afternoon, Samir Hanna, vice president of Autodesk consumer products joined Brian and Rest Devices co-founder Dulcie Madden to discuss how the 123D family helped Rest Devices design their innovative baby bottle warmer.<\/p>\n<p><a class=\"asset-img-link\" href=\"http:\/\/inthefold.autodesk.com\/.a\/6a017c3334c51a970b01a3fbd9997e970b-pi\"><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"IMG_20140107_132148_111_cropped high quality\" border=\"0\" class=\"asset  asset-image at-xid-6a017c3334c51a970b01a3fbd9997e970b image-full img-responsive\" src=\"http:\/\/inthefold.autodesk.com\/.a\/6a017c3334c51a970b01a3fbd9997e970b-800wi\" title=\"IMG_20140107_132148_111_cropped high quality\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Check out the video to see the design process:<\/p>\n<p><strong>&#160;<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/news.autodesk.com\/press-release\/corporate-sustainability\/autodesk-completes-acquisition-circuitsio\">Autodesk<\/a> completed the acquisition of technology and the development team of Circuits.io, a web-based app and connected community for designing and simulating electronic circuits. This acquisition will enable Autodesk to bolster its offering of technology for electronic circuit design and simulation. Autodesk <a href=\"http:\/\/blog.123dapp.com\/2013\/09\/introducing-123d-circuits\">introduced 123D Circuits<\/a> in September 2013.
