Currently, design tissue for 3D<br \/>\nprinting is limited to programming, and being able to design in 3D will greatly<br \/>\nimprove the pace of design and ultimately, the pace of<br \/>\nresearch.&#160;Organovo\u2019s 3D bioprinting technology is used to create living<br \/>\nhuman tissues, and Autodesk Research is lending its expertise in developing<br \/>\n3D&#160;software for the design and simulation of molecular systems and living<br \/>\nsystems.<\/p>\n<p>\n<a class=\"asset-img-link\" href=\"http:\/\/inthefold.typepad.com\/.a\/6a017c3334c51a970b017ee66b7163970d-pi\"><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"002204\" class=\"asset  asset-image at-xid-6a017c3334c51a970b017ee66b7163970d\" src=\"http:\/\/inthefold.typepad.com\/.a\/6a017c3334c51a970b017ee66b7163970d-500wi\" style=\"margin-left: auto;margin-right: auto\" title=\"002204\" \/><\/a>&#160;<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAutodesk is an excellent fit for developing new software<br \/>\nfor 3D bioprinters,\u201d said Keith Murphy, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer at<br \/>\nOrganovo. \u201cThis partnership will lead to advances in bioprinting, including<br \/>\nboth greater flexibility and throughput internally, and the potential long-term<br \/>\nability for customers to design their own 3D tissues for production by<br \/>\nOrganovo.\u201d&#160;<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBioprinting has the potential to change the world,\u201c said<br \/>\nJeff Kowalski, Senior Vice President and Chief Technology Officer at Autodesk.<br \/>\n\u201cIt\u2019s a blend of engineering, biology and 3D printing, which makes it a natural<br \/>\nfor Autodesk.
