Mechanical design software is only as good as the accuracy that can be implemented. For an individual part it is simple, but when it comes to assemblies, additional measures need to be taken. Perhaps the most important is the application of constraints. One tool that helps greatly in these endeavors is adding rotational constraints to an assembly: like with two gears.

Adding a rotation constraint inside of Inventor is a fairly easy process once you figure it out. The video below will quickly demonstrate in less than two and a half minutes how to add rotational constraints to your assemblies. Check it out below!
