Fusion Lifecycle Name Changes to Fusion 360 Manage

Product News

If you use Autodesk Fusion Lifecycle for your product lifecycle management solution, we have some news. We’ve changed its name to Autodesk® Fusion 360® Manage. It’s the same great PLM solution, just with a new name. Read on to learn why this simple change is really quite significant.

The importance of data and process management

Data and process management is integral to product development workflows. Autodesk is committed to developing a common platform with data management and PLM capabilities that extend across an even broader set of CAD products.

Therefore, we’re extending Fusion Lifecycle capabilities to our Fusion 360 platform through a new offering in development* called Fusion 360 Manage Extension. Since both offerings are built on the same underlying technology, we’re rebranding Fusion Lifecycle so they share a common brand.

How does the name change impact Fusion Lifecycle customers?

The name change doesn’t impact customers. You will see the new name throughout the product. The name change will not interrupt your workflows and there is no action you need to take. Support resources remain the same as well.

Not a Fusion Lifecycle customer and curious about PLM?

If you use Vault for product data management, then you understand the value of PDM and probably can’t imagine working as efficiently without it. Simply put, PDM gets your design and engineering data under control with a central source for collaboration.

Product lifecycle management provides enterprise-wide collaboration for all involved in the product lifecycle—from engineering and supply chain to quality and manufacturing. How? PLM connects data, people, and processes across departments and geographies. It automates workflows, tasks, and access to timely information in a centralized system for greater efficiencies.
