He argues that manufacturing education is due for a major overhaul for students to tackle the growing skills gap as Industry 4.0 becomes more of a reality. Starting with <em>what<\/em> and <em>how<\/em> we teach students, he says educators should be trading in traditional, prescriptive lesson plans for engaging material. This invites students to problem-solve, think critically, and apply knowledge through hands-on learning experiences.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Before joining the Autodesk Education team, Tim Paul was a regular contributor to <em>CNC West<\/em>, a prominent print magazine dedicated to keeping up with trends in manufacturing and machining. And in 2021, he was asked to return to the magazine as a guest writer and contribute his unique perspective on the future of manufacturing education.
