In this webinar, Tatjana Dzambazova makes a deep overview of Project Memento, presenting various use cases and new opportunities with the accessibility of sensors and tabbing methods. In the second part of the webinar, she shows the current capabilities of the software with a live demo.
What is Project Memento?
Project memento is our all in one, end-to-end solution for converting any reality capture input (photos, scans) into the high resolution 3D digital mesh replicas. Memento’s toolkit generates 3D meshes from photos and scans and has smart toolset that helps clean up the meshes, detect and fix mesh errors, and prepare and optimize the generated 3D models for Web publishing, for VR/AR, for further digital use, or for 3D printing.
Unlike any other product, Memento’s engine is built from the ground-up to handle large models that are the result of converting reality captured data to 3D mesh and optimize them for further use. Users are able to learn Memento in a few minutes without prior knowledge of 3D CAD, thereby making Reality Computing accessible to a wide range of users who require high quality, professional 3D digital replicas of real objects but who don’t necessarily have high technological expertise.
Artists, scientists, heritage experts, archeologists, fashion designers, film makers, game developers, designers of various kinds are using Memento to digitize artifacts for archiving, restoration, education, for digital story telling, for creating digital doubles and replicas, as decorative add on in design or as inspiration and start for new design, for testing fit of new designs in existing products and as help when making personalized products. Memento’s optimized digitized reality models are used in workflows with Autodesk Fusion360, Maya, Mudbox, 3dsMax, many other modeling applications and offers integrated toolset for high resolution 3D printing preparation, connecting with over twenty 3D printer drivers, optimizing the models accordingly.
Currently, Memento is in Alpha stage and can be downloaded from this link.
A lot more to come in Memento, stay tuned!
