It’s that time of year again. Time for those who think they have the right stuff to put themselves out there and show the scouts what they’ve got. Time for enthusiasts to begin imagining what the prospects could be next fall. And time for fans to formulate ideas and opinions of what they want to see.
No – I’m not talking about the NFL Draft. I’m talking about the AU2017 CFP!
Autodesk University (or AU as it is affectionately known) is the world’s largest gathering of Autodesk customers. It provides an opportunity to attend classes, forums and keynotes with product experts and thought leaders – as well as meet with simulation peers, thought leaders, and members of our Autodesk team.
AU doesn’t happen until November, but now is when we begin laying the groundwork for the content (classes, forums, exhibits, speakers, etc.) that will be offered. Below are some ways you can get involved.
Submit a proposal—we want you to speak at AU
Do you have a great idea for an AU class or session? Then submit a proposal. Speaking at AU is a great way to share your expertise with your peers, and establish yourself as an industry leader. Demonstrate workflows and collaborations, share what you’ve learned with project case studies, lead a panel or roundtable discussion,or create hands-on training that will help others in your field overcome challenges you’ve already faced. If your proposal is selected, you’ll get a free AU conference pass and the chance to forge important, lasting relationships within the AU community. Plus, you’ll partner with Autodesk and build your reputation as a leader in your field. Sound like a smart move? Don’t let this opportunity pass you by.

Not ready to lead an AU class? No problem. Tell us what—or who—would help make you better or more efficient in your work. What do you want to learn? Do you know of thought leaders, practitioners, or power users whose unique insights and expertise would enrich AU? Help us help you. This year you can request an AU class or recommend an industry leader. We’re all ears!

AU is about you, so your feedback will be a crucial factor in selecting this year’s classes. You can review the anonymous class proposals on our website as they’resubmitted. (Watch for details on the CFP web page.) We want you to share in our excitement. Get a sense for what the AU community is proposing, and get inspired to submit your own proposal. Or simply keep an eye on what matters most to you. When the CFP window closes on May 17th, we’ll ask you to vote for those can’t-miss classes. We can’t wait to hear what you want to learn this year.
