PRODUCT UPDATE: SKETCHBOOK FOR ANDROID

Colin Smith
March 16, 2020

The SketchBook team is excited to release SketchBook Mobile 5.2.2 for Android!

There are 2 major parts to this release: A fix for the gallery and support for Samsung DeX.

Unfortunately, some of our Android customers had an issue that caused the Gallery to be corrupted. This resulted in SketchBook not launching and images potentially being lost. As of this release, when SketchBook of Android is launched, it will look at the Gallery to check for corrupted images and walk through a process for recovering lost images and fixing the Gallery. There is also a new preference setting to Check for Recoverable Images, which can be launched at a later time, if you don’t want to go through the recovery at application startup. Check the SketchBook Help for more information about this feature.

SketchBook for Android now supports Samsung DeX. DeX allows Galaxy owners to connect their device to a screen, TV. For SketchBook customers who have a Galaxy, this means you can connect your device to a Wacom tablet!

We hope you enjoy this update to SketchBook for Android. Stay safe, and happy sketching!

Since I’ve updated the app, the majority of drawing will not open. When I click on one to open an error message appears that says “Oops. Failed to open image.”
And it only has an option to hit “ok”. Theres nothing I can do to access my drawing! I’ve lost all of my layers from so many drawings!! I’m extremely frustrated and devastated and the “update”. This needs to be resolved!

Is there anyone i can contact about the crashing issues im having with my Autodesk? I have two versions, and only one uses the Bamboo pen i have for my laptop. If i leave the screen, it crashes and I have to reload every time. This has been going on for a while and ive read about how other people are having the issue yet its not getting fixed!
