Yesterday we released an update for SketchBook on Apple iOS, Windows 10 (UWP) and Android with a new log-in flow that no longer requires you to create, or log in to, an Autodesk account to use SketchBook.  This update fixes an issue that some of our customers were seeing that would not allow them to log in to SketchBook if they were not connected to the internet.

To bypass the login simply click the blue Start Drawing button in the Welcome to SketchBook window when you launch SketchBook.

We also fixed a couple of bugs in this release:

  • The link to the SketchBook blog was broken – we fixed that.
  • Apple Pencil input now works within the Welcome screen – iOS only.
  • The No Network message no longer appears prematurely, and we added a Back button to retry after a real network error.
  • Formatting issues on the account information dialog have been corrected.
  • We made clicking the Close button a bit easier for all popup dialogs (it was previously a bit small for fingers).

    hi! i just want to recommend an update that might be good, and it is force fade. i am a pc user and i only use my mouse and so i really think that it can be helpful! i hope you can add this feature soon. <3

    I am having an issue in downloading one of the brush sets. I am trying to download the Water Brush Set by Jason Heely. The link at the bottom of the page does not work. The link takes the user back to the original page. I am working on a drawing I started. The drawing has the ocean as its main vocus. Unfortunately, this particular brush set isn’t working. (I am working from the updated version of Sketchbook on a Window 10 64-bit operating version.)

    Can someone help, please.

      Hi Pokey939,

      Sorry that you are having a problem. I suggest you go to the Autodesk support pages and put your question there. Go to and click on the Show All Products button at the bottom.
      A window will appear – select SketchBook Products from that list. Hope that helps!
