On 24 May in Copenhagen, we had the pleasure of gathering a group of our most enthusiastic Spacemaker users to our first Danish user gathering. This event is part of a series of meetings we’re hosting in our core markets to talk about product development, best practices and how we can align even further with the needs of local users.
We had a great setting for our gathering – a meeting room with stunning harbor views and adjoining roof terrace in the Danish Architecture Centre in BLOX, in the heart of Copenhagen.
We started with our Product leads Helene and Kristine giving an exclusive sneak peek into what Product is working on, both right now and long term, which led to great discussions and feedback from the participants on needs specific to Denmark, such as bike parking which is just as important as car parking! New updates to the parking and outdoor area tools started as requests from the Danish market and were well received.

We were grateful to have two of our users and Spacemaker advocates share their stories. First up was Ida Kleve from renowned architects Mangor & Nagel. Ida is our first certified user in Denmark – so it was no surprise she won the highly competitive quiz we did to kick off the day. Ida shared her experience of using Spacemaker in a Norwegian project located at a complicated and hilly site, where different scenarios were created to address difficult wind and noise conditions. The second user was Morten Hansen from the renowned Danish developer CASA. As a building manager Morten brought a unique perspective to the group. CASA uses Spacemaker particularly in the site acquisition stage of projects, to test different design approaches and to communicate better with the municipality. While he is the main Spacemaker user at CASA, he is eager to encourage more consultants to start using Spacemaker in all the projects they do. Morten showed how CASA used Spacemaker to get municipal approval for revisions to a project with the help of Spacemaker-delivered analysis and data.

We finished the inspiring day with drinks on the sunny terrace where we enjoyed the fantastic views of Copenhagen and great conversations on the future of the profession.
If you want to get involved in the growing Spacemaker user community, we’d love to hear from you. Check out our open forum, request to join our user testing program, or reach out to Marthe to learn more about what’s happening in your location.
