Autodesk Vault Data Standard hits the street with some cool new features

June 9, 2016

Following on the heels of the Vault 2017 release is our Vault Data Standard update.  Vault’s standard compliance tool is now available for download from Autodesk.com here with a full run down on the new functionality  available in the Vault 2017 help here.

The main productivity enhancement for users this year is the new Save As functionality – allowing users to save their Inventor 3D model directly to Vault as a STEP file, or your 2D IDW’s as DWG, DXF or PDF format – a big time saver for those looking to share neutral file versions of their documents for design review or downstream consumption when complete, cutting out multiple steps in adding these to Vault separately.

Save Copy As

There have also been multiple updates to the numbering scheme integration, property controls, window titles and one dialog to standardize properties for all custom objects.

So download now read up and check out the existing and new capabilities Vault Data Standard has to offer your organisation.
