Vault Add-On Admin-Migration Tools are Open Source

We are pleased to announce the availability of the proven admin and migration tools on Autodesk Open Source Hub.

These add-ons are developed and used by Autodesk Consulting covering these areas:
Administration:

  • Vault User Accounts Utility: The tool imports/exports user accounts for given ADMS server. Can be useful for large deployments.
  • Import/Update folder structures via csv-File: Creates/updates folder structures and library folders including Access Control Lists (ACL), properties, categories, and lifecycle states
  • Import Naming Scheme: Imports list of values into file or item naming schemes

Migration:

  • Import Object Properties: Imports values of user-defined properties from external CSV file to files and, or items; includes capabilities to set categories, lifecycle state and, revisions.
  • Import Property List Utility: The tool imports property values for the properties using a lookup list. It’s useful for initial data loading and updates.

Currently, the branches cover the Vault release 2017, 2018 and 2019 versions.

You may use these tools for implementations, maintenance or as validated coding samples leveraging Autodesk Vault APIs.
