Under the Hood - All things PDM and PLM

We’re really excited about our Vault 2022 release and all the value it brings to our data management community. If you missed our Vault 2022 What’s New Webinar, you can watch it on-demand. We covered in detail how the mobile app helps you stay connected to your engineering data. The app allows you to take your design data with you onto the shop floor, on-site, or out to meet your customer.

Vault Mobile Updates

Changes were released yesterday to the Vault mobile app to support the Vault 2022 release. We’ve also enhanced Autodesk ID login to reduce the frequency of re-logins required when using the mobile app.

Use these QR codes to get the latest release of the app or visit the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.

For an overview of the mobile app, check out the Vault 2022 What’s New video for the mobile app.

Use Cases

There are a variety of ways you can find value in the mobile app. Imagine you are at a customer site – you don’t have to worry about having printing out the right documentation (save a tree!). With the mobile app you have access to your vaulted data at your fingertips. Right from your tablet you can view and review 2D and 3D files with the customer and even create and edit engineering change orders. Your teammates will have access to any of your updates before you return from your site visit.

The mobile app can also come in handy on the shop floor. You can use QR codes or bar codes (printed on your drawings) to locate relevant data in Vault. You can also add information directly from your mobile device, such as photographs of work in progress or problems to resolve.
