Autodesk sur Microsoft MSDN Channel 9

  …ou comment en savoir plus sur Microsoft SQL Server 2008 et son support dans les outils Autodesk… 

Autodesk est un partenaire de longue date de Microsoft, et était d’ailleurs présent à Los Angeles, en février dernier, pour le lancement de la nouvelle version de SQL Server.

J’en ai déjà parlé dans un précédent billet, il y a déjà plusieurs mois : Autodesk a réalisé un fournisseur FDO pour SQL Server 2008, et donné ce nouveau fournisseur à l’OSGeo.

 

Ce fournisseur permet à AutoCAD Map et à MapGuide de travailler en lecture/écriture sur les données géospatiales stockées dans MS SQL Server 2008.   
Et il est possible d’utiliser AutoCAD Map pour charger les données dans cette nouvelle version de la base de données de Microsoft.

Mon collègue Peter Rieks, Product Manager pour la plate forme Géospatiale Autodesk, a été récemment interviewé par Microsoft, sur le chaîne de télé en ligne MSDN Channel 9.

C’est en anglais, et vous pourrez y voir comment AutoCAD Map et MapGuide accèdent aux données stockées dans SQL Server 2008, ainsi que la vision d’Autodesk pour la ville numérique… très intéressant 🙂
