The Autodesk University conference celebrated its 20th anniversary last year, and this major milestone just happened to coincide with Autodesk’s decision to refresh its corporate identity. That said, as Autodesk evolves to meet the needs of our customers, so does AU. Now is the right time to refresh both the AU brand and website.
We’ve been hard at work creating a new logo and a new website. But these changes are more than skin deep. We’ve also introduced new functionality and more is planned for the months ahead.
New look and feel
First check out our new 3D AU logo, which was designed using Autodesk® 3ds Max®. The logo reflects AU’s renewed commitment to the engineers, designers, and business leaders to provide engaging learning experiences and connections with industry experts. We’ve also updated the user interface to use more images and less text, which we hope will make it easier for you to find classes and event information.
New logins
One of the things we’ve often heard from our AU members is that they’d like to have a single login for all Autodesk sites, including AU. With that in mind, you can now use your Autodesk Account to sign in to the AU website. If you don’t have an Autodesk Account, it’s easy to create one right from the AU website. See the new FAQs to learn more about it.
New class catalog
The classes on-demand catalog has an entirely new user interface. Similar to most search engines, the search results page now displays a short class description and a thumbnail for classes that include a video to give you a better understanding about what the class offers. All classes still include handouts, a PowerPoint presentation, and other class materials that the speaker provided.
More to come
With 650 classes scheduled for AU 2013, plus several events scheduled on Sunday and Monday before the conference, AU continues to evolve to meet the needs of our community. International events this year include conferences in Russia, Germany, Brazil, China, and Japan, and we now reach thousands more through our AU website, live-streaming on AU Online during the Las Vegas conference, and locally hosted events such as AU extension.
We want Autodesk University to continue to be an inspiring learning and networking event. Let us know what you think about our new website on Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, and the AU blog.
