What is the current Field 4.24 version behavior?
Newly signed in users with active projects in both US and EU data centers will not see US based projects on the iPad project drop down and will only see EU based projects.
Who is not affected?
- Users with active projects in EU only
- Users with active projects in US only
- Users who do not sign out and sign back in to Field mobile
Issue was introduced in iPad 4.24 release and our team is actively working on its resolution. Users who did not upgrade to 4.24 should wait for 4.25 release. Problem is caused by the way Field mobile application interprets the Service URL in BIM 360 Field iPad settings.
By default, the service URL is https://bim360field.autodesk.com, https://bim360field.eu.autodesk.com
Users can modify the Service URL value to access the projects they need on either US or EU datacenter.
Go to
iPad > Settings > BIM 360 Field > Service URL
To access US based projects, modify the Service URL to : https://bim360field.autodesk.com
To access EU based projects, modify the Service URL to : https://bim360field.eu.autodesk.com
Users can safely modify the Service URL between US and EU data centers back and forth and continue synching projects with either data center. Local iPad data will not be impacted.
