BIM 360 Release Notes

Project Management Update – February 5, 2019

Hi All –

We had another great release today!

For RFIs, we rolled out the “Act on behalf of” feature.  As in submittals, Admins will be able to add a response to an RFI on behalf of a reviewer.  In the activity log, the action will reflect that the Admin “acted on behalf” of the assigned Reviewer.

We also released the much requested SUBMITTAL ITEM SUMMARY REPORT!  This much requested report completes our quick reports run directly from the Project Management module.  We will continue working to expand custom reports directly from the Insight reporting module.  Thanks to the BIM 360 Reporting team for all their hard work to get us across the finish line!

And if that weren’t enough, we are extremely pleased to release Single Item Workflow Optimization!

  • Now Managers will be able to choose whether to add an item to a package, or just submit to a reviewer.
  • If an item is submitted directly, we will automatically create a package for it – no need for additional administrative steps by the user.
  • To complete the flow, when the Reviewer review the last item in a package (or the only item in a package), they will be prompted with the option to Return to Manager.

This means that teams who choose to work at the item level will not be bothered by the additional administrative steps of managing packages.
