Note: Images are of Autodesk Build. However, the functionality is the same within BIM 360 Cost Management.

COST TOOL

  • Automated Retention Cap Adjustment – For users that utilize capped retention, when a cost payment application accept/proceed button is selected, the system auto-checks the retention cap. If exceeded, users will see a warning message appear and an orange triangle in the Total Retained column.

  • Selecting the orange triangle in the Total Retained column provides 2 options:
    • Adjust total retained amount to the calculated cap amount which will auto calculate and apply the correct retention % to be applied to completed work.
    • Members can also edit the retention cap limit if needed.

  • Relaxed Locked Field Restrictions of Executed or Integration Locked Contract & Change Orders – In the flyout panel, some fields were previously locked down once the status was set as executed or integration locked. Members can now edit the fields without reverting the status. This is beneficial when a contract is already signed and a supplier’s contact for a Subcontract has changed, members can easily assign the contract to a different contact.

CHANGE ORDER TOOL

  • Show Associated Change Order Number at Summary Level in every Change Order Table View Report – For all change order cost items, users have an option to turn on PCO, RFQ, COR, OCO, and SCO columns to see the associated number/links in the user interface. Now, for all reports, if the columns are turned on, members can view the associated numbers at the summary change order level and cost item level, depending on visibility choice selected.
  • PCO Collaborate Access: Ability to select Cost Items for Scope of Work in RFQ’s – When using ‘Potential Change Order to request quotations’ option is turned on in project process settings, members with full control access can now send an empty PCO for pricing. Responders with PCO collaborate access can now pick and choose the cost items. This workflow is particularly beneficial in scenarios such as an Owner requesting pricing to a GC whose scope covers many different trades, letting them select only the relative items to respond to the RFQ.

  • Change Order Schedule Change Field Null vs Zero – Behavior of the Schedule Change Field in the flyout panel has been updated to differentiate between null status/empty value vs 0 value. Members can now use a variable that allows to populate ‘TBD’ in the document if schedule change is still unknown or populate actual numbers if entered.{oco.scheduleChange === null? “TBD” : oco.scheduleChange} days

FORECAST TOOL

  • Cash Flow Distribution Enhancements – New distribution options are now available to Project Admins within the Forecast/Cashflow settings page.
    • Members can now choose distribution items based on budget code segments, or contracts.
    • Members can distribute at a grouped level and reduce the number of line items
    • Members now have a centralized place to create and manage all cash flow distributions. This is done within the Cash Flow tab in the Forecast Tool.
    • Connections between budget and schedule tasks are still made in the Cost & Time view and start and end dates carried forward.

SETTINGS

  • Compliance requirement expiration date appears on Home Page – Members now have the ability to choose whether to display document expiration dates of compliance requirements on the Home page. This option is managed within settings; use the toggle to turn on/off. The toggle is on by default, does not change the existing behavior.
