The Xometry Autodesk Inventor Add-In

Xometry, the country’s largest on-demand manufacturing platform, has released a free Inventor add-in to give you instant pricing, lead time, and DFM feedback directly within your Autodesk workspace.

The Xometry Instant Quoting Engine℠ delivers instant pricing, lead time, and design for manufacturability feedback for your parts in a variety of manufacturing processes, from CNC Machining to 3D Printing and more.

With the new Xometry Autodesk Inventor Add-In, this instant quoting power is accessible directly within the Inventor platform for one integrated workspace. The add-in enables Inventor users to access the Xometry platform without leaving the program. Easily get instant pricing, design feedback, and lead time information directly in the Inventor environment.

With instant DFM feedback on your designs you can work more efficiently and streamline your projects, making tweaks and changes until your part is ready to manufacturer. This helps you save time and money when getting your part fabricated with one of Xometry’s over 2,300 manufacturing partners.

The Inventor add-in makes it simple to transition your projects from the design stage through prototyping and all the way to production.

“Inventor is the preferred design platform for many of our customers,” said Hunter Guerin, Xometry’s Product Manager for the add-in. “Xometry’s add-in will make it even easier for them to turn their designs into real parts and products. We are excited to offer our customers the ability to get instant pricing, lead time, and design feedback directly in the Inventor workspace.”

The Xometry Add-in enables Inventor users to:

  • Get instant pricing and lead times in Inventor
  • Receive immediate design feedback on parts
  • Choose from a wide range of processes, including 3D Printing, Sheet Metal, CNC Machining, and Urethane Casting with over 200 materials
  • Order designs through Xometry with one click
  • Add notes and drawings to further specify part features, finishes and tolerances

“We’ve built Inventor to help design and engineering professionals deliver innovative, high-quality products to market more quickly,” Robert Yancey, director of manufacturing and product strategy at Autodesk said. “The Xometry Add-In gives our customers yet another tool to turn their product vision into reality.”

Autodesk Inventor is already the heart of your design process. Now, with Xometry’s add-in, it is also the heart of your quoting, purchasing and manufacturing processes.
