Categories are a powerful feature of Vault Workgroup, Collaboration, and Professional. A Category extends the use of files in Vault and defines their behaviors. A number of customers have been looking for ways to identify Inventor’s Content Center files in Vault and categorize them, thus having these files follow unique lifecycle definitions, default states, and even properties.
