Vault Data Standard – Migrating Customized Configurations

Markus Koechl
May 16, 2024

Vault Data Standard is a customization layer that allows custom business logic and rules to be integrated into the file management workflow.

Custom configurations need to migrate if Vault Client software updates. Some essential steps make a legacy configuration compatible, and you may want to merge enhancements of the new configuration templates into your customization. Let’s say you currently run a custom configuration in Vault 2022 (or an older version) and plan to upgrade to the latest release. You can do the migration in one step, but you should start reading the documentation for 2023 first because the transition from 2022 to 2023 emphasized introducing dark and light themes.
