Another day down at Autodesk University. Wednesday (day two) was again packed with a variety of Data Management classes. First thing at 8 am was DM316-1 Working Here, There, and Everywhere: Connecting Global Workgroups with Autodesk® Vault Collaboration covered by Pascal Le Guellec, which included a live demonstration of our Connected Workgroups (Full Replication) between US and Germany sites. Yes, that was real connection to real servers, not a video. Nice!
Next was a continuation of the Combo To Vault series part 2 on properties called DM433-6 Combination to the Vault, Part 2: Mastering Your Metadata. Great feedback and a walk through how the Vault 2011 property system can solve your DM needs. Then my AU Virtual classes DM324-1V and DM328-2V Visual Data Management with Autodesk® Inventor® 2011: It's All in the Cards went live.
I ended the day as a lounge act (no, did not sing) in the Manufacturing Lounge where Jeremy Lambert and I tag-teamed “The Vault Knows All” session with a walk through the Vault Family of Products. See fuzzy image below:
The last class on the DM list was Jason Summerfield’s DM333-1 Cracking the Vault: Best Practices for Managing Autodesk® Vault that covered everything you were afraid to ask about Vault but wanted to know. Another great showing of Vault enthusiasts.
One more day to go… Stay tuned for the next diary report.
